Summary

A family run plumbing operation needed a site that could outwork much larger competitors in local search and convert frantic, mid leak homeowners into booked jobs without making them think.

Challenge

Plumbing buyers do not browse. They land mid emergency, scan for trust signals, and pick the company that gives them the fastest, calmest path to a phone call. The previous site buried the phone number, treated services like a feature list, and offered no proof the team had worked in the area before.

Approach

I rebuilt the site around a single decision: should this homeowner call right now. The hero answers that in three lines. Service tiles below collapse a long menu into the four jobs people actually pay for. A friendly, illustrated explainer block defuses the anxiety, real testimonials carry the weight, and a service area panel proves they work the caller's neighborhood. Quote requests sit one scroll from anywhere on the page.

Section by section

How the page is built, block by block.

Every section on this site exists for a reason. Here is what each block is doing, and why it sits where it sits.

01

Hero with emergency CTA

Three lines of trust, two buttons that matter

The hero leads with Exceptional, Punctual and Professional, pairs the headline with a play to watch a short intro, and pins both Call Now and Request Quote where the eye lands first. Plumbing customers do not need a brand story, they need to believe somebody competent will pick up. The hero gives them that in under a second.

02

Service grid

The four jobs, illustrated

Drain cleaning, plumbing, water heater, and emergency repair sit as four illustrated tiles. Icons over photos because real plumbing photos look the same and confuse skim reading. Each tile links to a service page that doubles as a local landing page.

03

Smarter than you can think

An explainer block that lowers anxiety

Three friendly cartoon panels explain how the team diagnoses, fixes, and confirms. It reads like a homeowner guide instead of a sales pitch, which is the only register that works when the buyer is already stressed.

04

Functional plumbing isn't a pipe dream

An editorial block that earns the credibility

A long form section grounded in a real photo of a finished install, paired with credentials, licensing, and the practical promises the team is willing to make in writing. This is the section that converts the cautious buyer who scrolls past everything else.

05

Testimonials

What people say about us

Five star reviews pulled from Google, presented as real cards with names and photos where allowed. Volume here matters more than wording. The block doubles as proof that the company has been around long enough to have a track record.

06

Areas we cover

Three coin badges, three neighborhoods

Instead of a wall of zip codes, three friendly badges name the primary service areas. The block plays double duty as on page local SEO, signaling to search engines exactly where the company operates.

07

Emergency banner and quote form

Booking flow built for one handed phones

A wide blue banner reminds the user emergency services are available, then drops them into a four field quote form. Map, call, email, and address sit in a single footer band so the contact decision can be made without scrolling back up.

Outcome

What shifted after launch

Patterns observed across analytics, client reporting, and inbound leads after the site went live.

  • Phone CTA visible from every section, including a sticky emergency banner

  • Service pages structured around questions homeowners actually ask

  • Local schema and area pages tuned for plumber near me intent

  • Quote form completion rate climbed once friction was cut to four fields
