Summary

A regional Black chamber of commerce needed a single site that could route three audiences in three different directions: businesses considering membership, donors funding the work, and volunteers offering time. The build does that without splintering the brand.

Challenge

Most chamber sites become a wall of links because every program demands top billing. The team wanted a site that felt like a movement, not a directory. It also had to convert three different actions cleanly: join, donate, volunteer.

Approach

A single hero with three primary CTAs. A sponsor band that doubles as proof of regional weight. A program section that names exactly what a member, a donor, and a volunteer get for showing up. Yellow and black give the brand its energy without slipping into corporate beige.

Section by section

How the page is built, block by block.

Every section on this site exists for a reason. Here is what each block is doing, and why it sits where it sits.

01

Hero

Driving Black business success

Photo of two professionals in conversation. A bold yellow eyebrow names the chamber. Three buttons sit side by side: Membership, Donate, Volunteer. Equal visual weight on all three so the visitor never feels nudged.

02

Empowering change

An editorial intro with one CTA

A short paragraph with a confident headline and a single Learn More button. Sets the tone before the page asks for anything.

03

Supporting Black business owners

Three program cards

Three numbered program cards on a yellow band. Each card names the program, its outcome, and a path to read more. Clear hierarchy, no logo soup.

04

Mark your calendar

Events strip with a single CTA

An events highlight block, paired with a See All Events button. The chamber's calendar is one of its strongest retention tools, and the block is built so members come back to it.

05

Connect, collaborate and thrive

Editorial photo with a closing call

A photo of a community meeting paired with a confident closing message. The block is the page's emotional center and earns the donate and volunteer asks.

06

Amazing supporters

Sponsor logo band

Logos of named regional sponsors. The block functions as proof of regional weight, which is what convinces a new business that membership is worth it.

07

Get in touch

A friendly closing form

Form on the left, real photo of a board member on the right. The page closes with a face, not a footer.

Outcome

What shifted after launch

Patterns observed across analytics, client reporting, and inbound leads after the site went live.

  • Membership inquiries lifted once the three CTA hero replaced a single Learn More button

  • Donation completions improved when the Donate path was given equal visual weight

  • Volunteer signups grew after the Get In Touch block was paired with a real face
